The Lula DDA is dedicated to bringing people and business  to Downtown Lula. With this web page we will provide information about activities and events in Lula as well as support for our existing local businesses and new businesses as well. Saturday 6th Annual Classic Car Show - Rafe Banks Park. Entry fee $20. No Judging, peoples choice, top 27 plus Presidents Choice. BEST CHEVY, BEST FORD, BEST MOPAR, BEST PONTIAC, BEST ROD, UNDER CONSTRUCTION, RAT ROD. Entertainment and food available. Proceeds used to enhance the City through the Historical Society. October 21 10th, 2017, Lula Fall Festival Theme is Arts and Crafts, Children's Activities. 2016 was a huge success and we will expand this year. November 24th, 2018. Thanksgiving and the beginning of the Christmas Season. Light up your house and downtown with Christmas Lights. Judging of lights will be December 11th.

for our Christmas Parade and Christmas in the Park. Churches, Businesses and individuals give back to the Community. Christmas music provided by Churches and Schools. Railroad Days May 13th. Parade begins at 10am with Railroad Days Festival following parade. This year festival features professional entertainment plus an expanded number of vendors. Call 770-869-3801 to enter parade and festival. Lets make this the best Railroad days ever!!!!!

The City of Lula along with the “Lula- Belton Historical Society” is proud to announce the Annual “Veteran's Day” Ceremony to be held Friday November 11th, at 10:00AMat the City of Lula Veterans Park located in historic downtown Lula. This year’s remembrance ceremony will feature the Hall County Sheriff’s Department Honor Guard presentation of colors, and Special Guest Speaker State Representative Matt Dubnik County. The Ceremony will also include performances by singer Jerry Willis, Sarah Justice, and Lula Elementary School 4th and 5th grade chorus lead by Erin Lonberger and Invocation and Closing Prayer by Reverend Tilly Welborn

City to purchase Lula Train Depot LABA and City Council have reached an agreement for City to own and operate the depot. This will allow for the renovation of the facility. Anyone interested in renting or using the depot should call City Hall at 770-869-3801. We hope the change in ownership will allow for its increased usage.

Waterford Glen seeing new activity. South Fork Homes is starting construction of new residential homes in the subdivision off Railroad Ave (across the tracks at Sixth Street.) Bill Brantley is starting five new homes and will continue building out this subdivision.

Lula becomes member of Hall County Chamber of Commerce. In another move to improve our cities ability to attract new businesses and expand economic growth the city has joined the Economic Development Council.

"At the Tracks" Restaurant is open. Open Tuesday thru Sunday for lunch and dinner. Restaurant is located next to Veteran's Park. Join them for fine dining.

Napolis Pizza is coming to town!
Opening before soon. Street next to Veteran's Park. Visit one of their restaurants in Flowery Branch or Oakwood to get a preview of coming attractions. 

Get ready for Railroad Days. May 14th. This is the 40th anniversary of Railroad Days and we plan to make it a festival to remember. Join in on the festivities. Booths are now being reserved and parade information is available. Call 770-869-3801.

Street Scape 2 is complete! Make sure you support those businesses impacted by the construction.

Public Restrooms completed and open.  This is located in the rear of the newly renovated Poole Building next to Veteran's Park.

Rafe Banks Park
has been leased from Hall County for fifty years. Hall County closed the park in a budget cut. Our City has taken control of the Park and is making improvements. The parking lot has been resurfaced and a walking trail is being constructed.
is building a new manufacturing plant in the industrial park south of town. They plan to hire up to 650 employees. This will have a positive effect on our community.  Lanier Tech has purchased land at the corner of Howard Street. and I365 for their new campus.  Other developments in t
he same area are planned and will be announced in the near future . All of this development  has a very positive effect on Lula.

Insulation Company is finishing a 10,000 square foot expansion in their building.

Sewage and water is being investigated along GA-365 in the Lula area. The City would like to see development in this area.

A number of older homes are now being upgraded and remodeled. Our city is coming alive!

What's planned

The City is applying for a grant to build a nature trail and classroom in Rafe Banks Park.

Finish Street Scape 2, 4. 5. 6. and 7. Street Scape 2 has been funded  by SPLOSH   This project provides $250K for the construction of sidewalks and improvements including street lights and planters from Veteran's Park to City Hall.

Street Scape 4 thru 7 are hoped to be funded by the SPLOST tax. Because of the SPLOST tax the City has been able to operate without City Taxes.
